I grew up in Rockingham County and attended RCPS schools. I graduated from Broadway High School in 2010. From there I went to Blue Ridge Community College for two years and graduated with an Associate’s Degree. I attended Bridgewater College after and was involved in many activities in my two years. I was in the Wind Symphony, Pep band, and Teacher Education Department. I graduated from BC in 2014 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education. I still attend football games regularly. Go Eagles!
I am currently working on my Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology from Virginia Tech. My future plans with my degree are to teach teachers that learning with technology can be beneficial to students’ learning.
In my spare time I take care of my almost 2 year old dog, Leo, who is very energetic. He is a Morkie (half Yorkie, half Maltese) and loves socks, walks, playing tug of war, eating sticks, and running. Leo was not even 1 pound when I brought him home and is now 8.5 pounds. He has been to Myrtle Beach with my family and had his first experience with a swimming pool.
You will most likely find me at the gym running or lifting weights. I love to exercise and go every chance I get. I have done 6 5K races and plan to do many more. Hiking is also great and there are plenty of hiking trails in the Shenandoah Valley. I also love to shop and drink coffee. My favorite baseball team is the Washington Nationals and I have been to several games. I enjoy reading books, selling Younique makeup, and going to the beach. My future plans are to eventually move to Myrtle Beach, SC and teach Reading and English there.
